Music director-actor GV Prakash has begun composing for Suriya's next, Vaadi Vaasal. Directed by Vetri Maaran, the film is produced by S Thanu, under his V Creations banner. 

Vaadi Vaasal is expected to go on floors once Suriya completes his film with Pandiraj and Sun Pictures. Vetri Maaran, meanwhile, is currently working on a film starring Soori and Vijay Sethupathi.

The first look of Vaadi Vaasal was unveiled on Suriya's birthday last year and the film is one of the most-awaited releases of Tamil cinema. 

It may be recalled that Prakash's collaborations with Vetri Maaran have invariably yielded hits. Incidentally, Suriya's last release Soorarai Pottru too had music by GVP. 

On the acting front, Prakash has almost a dozen films in various stages of production. He is currently awaiting the release of his direct-to-television film Vanakkam Da Mappilei, directed by Rajesh. The film will premiere on Sun TV soon.
