The filming of Vijay's Thalapathy 65, directed by Nelson, has begun in Georgia. The film's production house Sun Pictures shared a photo of the actor and director in discussion at the shooting spot, with the crew setting up the shot in the background.

Reliable sources state that the team plans to film action scenes in the country, choreographed by the fight master duo Anbariv. 

Thalapathy 65, which has Pooja Hegde playing the female lead, also stars Kavin and Aparna Das. While the film has music by Anirudh Ravichander, the cinematography is by Manoj Paramahamsa. 

Nelson is awaiting the release of his second film, Doctor, starring Sivakarthikeyan. Meanwhile, Vetri Maaran recently announced that Vijay has expressed interest in doing a film together sometime in the future.
