The announcement of only 50 per cent occupancy in theatres has not dampened the spirits of the makers of Kode Muruga. They have decided to go ahead with the film's release on Friday.

The film, made under the banner of KRK Productions, is directed by Subramanya Prasada. Besides helming the film, Subramanya has also written the story, screenplay, dialogues, lyrics, and plays a pivotal character.

Muni Krishna, who was part of the long-running serial Agnisakshi, plays the lead role in this comedy-drama, which is said to focus on the difficulties of making a film as a director and producer.

The cast also comprises Pallavi Gowda, Dattanna, Kuri Pratap, Aravind Rao, Kamini Dharan, and Kaddipudi Chandri.

Produced by K Ravikumar and Ashok Shiraali, Kode Muruga has music by MS Thyagaraj. Rudra Muni Belagere and C Ravichandran are handling the camera work and editing, respectively.
