Action choreographer Andy Long, who has worked on Hollywood films such as Robin Hood, Police Story: Lockdown, Herzlos, Dragon Blade, Unsere Zeit ist Jetzt, Luna and Commando 3 among others, has been roped in to design action sequences for the Vijay Deverakonda-starrer Liger.
Known for his association with Hollywood action superstar Jackie Chan, Andy Long along with his team joined the sets of Liger in the recently-concluded schedule in Mumbai.
"Thrilled to have the famous Hollywood stunt choreographer Andy Long and team, who have previously choreographed the powerful moves for Jackie Chan and many other films, onboard for Liger! Some action packed moves are on the way," wrote producer Karan Johar on Twitter.
Directed by Puri Jagannadh, Liger features Vijay Deverakonda as a martial artist with a stammer. The actor, who has trained extensively in MMA and other combat sports in Thailand for the film, will be sporting six-pack abs and a new hairdo for the part.
The action entertainer marks the debut of Ananya Panday in Telugu. Also featuring Ramya Krishnan, Ronit Roy, Abdul Quadir Amin, Makrand Deshpande and Ali in supporting roles, Liger is being bankrolled by Puri Connects in association with Dharma Productions.
The film is slated for release in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi on September 9.
