Shraddha Kapoor will essay a double role for the first time in Chaalbaaz in London. The upcoming reboot will be helmed by Pankaj Parashar, who had directed the 1989 film Chaalbaaz, starring Sridevi.

Chaalbaaz in London is being co-produced by T-Series and Paper Doll Entertainment. The film will be shot over an extensive schedule in London. The makers are finalising the actors for the other parts.

Speaking about the film, Shraddha shares, “I feel blessed and fortunate that the makers thought of me for Chaalbaaz In London. This will be my first ever double role and it will definitely be challenging for any actor. Although there's a huge responsibility on me, I'm happy that (producers) Bhushan (Kumar) sir and Ahmed (Khan) sir feel that I will be able to pull it off.”

Chaalbaaz (1989) starred Sridevi as twin sisters Anju and Manju. Poles apart in nature, they end up switching places and resolving a complicated plot. The film also starred Sunny Deol and Rajinikanth.
