Bollywood actor Vidyut Jammwal has refuted rumours of him playing the villain in Thalapathy 65.

Reacting to a tweet claiming he has been roped in as the antagonist in Vijay’s next, Vidyut wrote, "I AM WAITING, and would love to... But this news is false."

The formal launch ceremony of Thalapathy 65 was performed on Wednesday. The film features Pooja Hegde as the female lead. It is being directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. 

Vidyut’s upcoming film is Sanak, co-starring Rukmini Maitra. He is also set to star in Khuda Hafiz Chapter 2
