Actor Aftab Shivdasani has tested negative for COVID-19 on his second test. The Acid Factory actor had contracted the virus earlier this month and was advised home quarantine.

Sharing the news of his recovery, Aftab said in a note, “I am very happy and relieved to be sharing with all of you that I did my Covid test again and by the grace of God, the reports came negative.”

As a Covid survivor, Aftab assured that the illness is ‘very treatable’ and less than ‘20% cases are severe and require hospitalisation’. Thus, he urged people to not panic if they get the virus. “Most of the people recover with medication at home, so please do not panic even if, unfortunately, you get it. I once again humbly request and reiterate the importance of maintaining social distancing, using masks and sanitisers until the pandemic is over. Stay safe and protect your loved ones,” Aftab said.
