Amazon to adapt the book, The Inheritance Games, into a new TV Series

The series hails from Sony Pictures TV and Josh Berman’s Osprey Productions

Author Jennifer Lynn Barnes’ recently published young adult novel, The Inheritance Games will be adapted into a television series by Amazon.

Barnes’s book is the first part in a series of two books. Jennifer Lynn Barnes will coproduce the adaptation.

Grainne Godfree who worked in DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will pen the series and serve as the executive producer of the series currently at development in Amazon. Godfree has also worked in televison series such as The Flash and The Tomorrow People.

Barnes' novel centres around high-schooler Avery Grambs, who comes into an unexpected inheritance upon the death of billionaire Tobias Hawthorne, a stranger to her.
