While actor Ajith Kumar’s fans have been eagerly waiting for news of his next, Valimai, Telugu actor Kartikeya Gummakonda (who is rumoured to play the antagonist in the film) created quite the spark on social media with a tweet hinting at an update soon.

The H Vinoth directorial, which was initially scheduled to hit theatres this Diwali, was later postponed due to the pandemic and fans were left without any update regarding Ajith’s 60th film.

Kartikeya, who celebrated his birthday on Monday, said fans need to be patient and that the update will exceed all expectations.

Post the tweet, Ajith's fans shared their excitement on social media and #WaitingForThalaDharisanam began trending on Twitter.

Valimai marks the second consecutive collaboration between Ajith, director Vinoth, and producer Boney Kapoor, who is bankrolling the film under his Bayview Projects LLP banner.
