Dia Mirza has denied procuring or consuming drugs after her name emerged in an ongoing Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) probe linked to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. It was reported today that Dia is likely to be summoned for questioning by the NCB. Her name had reportedly surfaced during the interrogation of alleged peddler Anuj Keshwani.

“I would like to strongly refute and categorically deny this news as being false, baseless and with mala fide intentions,” Dia wrote in a statement. “Such frivolous reporting has a direct impact on my reputation being besmirched and is causing damage to my career which I have painstakingly built with years of hard work."

I have never procured or consumed any narcotic or contraband substances of any form in my life. I intend to pursue the full extent of legal remedies available to me as a law-abiding citizen of India. Thanks to my supporters for standing by me,” she added.

Earlier today, it was reported that actor Deepika Padukone’s manager, Karishma Prakash, has been summoned by the NCB for questioning. Dhurv Chitgopekar, CEO of talent management agency KWAN, has also been summoned, it was reported.

On September 9, the NCB had arrested Sushant’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty on charges of procuring drugs for the late actor. The ongoing probe has centred on an alleged drug syndicate operating within Bollywood.
