It was revealed a while ago that Akshara Haasan will be playing the lead in Trend Loud’s first original feature film, directed by Raja Ramamurthy of America Mappillai fame. The title of the film has now been announced as Achcham Madam Naanam Payirppu,  along with a first-look poster featuring a cartoon version of Akshara.  

Also starring Usha Uthup, who is making a comeback to acting, the film is touted to be a coming-of-age drama that explores the female gaze. Akshara is said to be playing a young woman from a conservative family.

Akshara was last seen in the Zee5 web series Fingertip. The actor was also seen in Vikram’s Kadaram Kondan last year.
