The shooting of Bunty Aur Babli 2 has been completed with the filming of a song. Directed by Varun V Sharma, the comic caper stars Rani Mukerji, Saif Ali Khan, Siddhanth Chaturvedi, and Sharvari. 

Produced by Aditya Chopra, the upcoming sequel introduces Siddhanth and Sharvari as the new Bunty-Babli pair. Rani, who starred alongside Abhishek Bachchan in the 2005 film, essays an ex-con in the new instalment. The comedy marks her reunion with Saif Ali Khan after a gap of 12 years. The duo had previously collaborated on Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic (2008), Ta Ra Rum Pum (2007) and Hum Tum (2004).

Siddhanth Chaturvedi broke out with his performance as MC Sher in Gully Boy (2019). He is also a part of Shakun Batra’s untitled next, co-starring Deepika Padukone.
