Pawan Kalyan's comeback film Vakeel Saab is going to be the first big-budget entertainer to resume shooting in unlock 4.0.

The social thriller directed by Sriram Venu is all set to begin a new schedule on September 23. According to a source, Pawan, who is observing Chaturmasya Deeksha, will join the sets after Dussera along with his Gabbar Singh co-star Shruti Haasan. In the interim, the makers are planning to complete the remaining portions of the film involving its leading ladies — Nivetha Thomas, Anjali, and Ananya Nagalla — in Hyderabad.

"The team is determined to wrap the entire production by December to facilitate a Sankranthi release, provided cinema theatres reopen in January," the source adds.

A remake of the Amitabh Bachchan-starrer Pink, the film has Pawan Kalyan in the titular role of a lawyer who helps three girls, who are assaulted by a bunch of rich boys. Boney Kapoor, who acquired the remake rights of Pink, is presenting the film, while Dil Raju bankrolls it.

Vakeel Saab, which will mark Pawan Kalyan's 26th film since his debut in 1996, is Dil Raju's first collaboration with the 49-year-old actor.
