Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has arrested actor Rhea Chakraborty under various sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, including charges of providing drugs to late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Rhea was questioned over three consecutive days by the NCB in connection to the drug angle in the ongoing investigation. Rhea’s brother Showik was arrested last week.
The news of Rhea’s arrest was shared online by BJP National Executive Kirit Somaiya.
However, news agency ANI tweeted at 3.41 pm that Rhea is yet to be formally arrested. “Rhea Chakraborty yet to be formally arrested. Paperwork and other formalities are being completed: KPS Malhotra, Deputy Director, Narcotics Control Bureau,” the ANI tweet said.
According to reports, Rhea will be taken for medical tests. She will be produced before court along with the other arrested accused.
