Taapsee Pannu, in a recent interview with Pinkvilla, has confirmed that her next Tamil film will be alongside Vijay Sethupathi. This yet-to-be-titled comedy will mark the directorial debut of Deepak Sundarajan, son of veteran director and actor Sundarajan. The film went on floors today in Jaipur and will be wrapped in a single schedule of 28 days.

A source close to the film says that Jagapathi Babu has been roped in as the antagonist, while Yogi Babu is also on board for an important role.

Interestingly, though Taapsee and Vijay Sethupathi have not appeared onscreen together before, they both did cameo roles in 2014's Kathai Thiraikathai Vasanam Iyakkam

Meanwhile, Taapsee's next Tamil film will be director Ahmed's Jana Gana Mana, also starring Jayam Ravi, Dayana Erappa, Rahman, MS Bhaskar, Sacred Games-fame Elnaaz Norouzi and Ram (last seen in KGF). In Hindi, Taapsee's upcoming films include Haseen Dillruba, Loop Lapeta (a remake of Run Lola Run), Rashmi Rocket, and the Mithali Raj biopic Sabash Mithu.
