A magistrate court in Mumbai has ordered a probe against Kangana Ranaut and her sister Rangoli Chandel for allegedly disturbing communal harmony with their social media posts. The order was issued on the basis of a complaint by advocate Ali Kaashif Khan Deshmukh under sections 153-A, 153-B, 195-A, 298, 505 read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code, reports state. 

In his complaint, Deshmukh alleges that Kangana and Rangoli are promoting enmity between religions groups and "doing acts prejudicial to maintenance of harmony in the country by the way of mysteriously and spitefully posting frivolous, derogatory and defamatory posts with the intent to outrage religious feelings of a class by insulting its religion or religious feelings."

The court has ordered an inquiry and asked for a police report on the allegations against them. 

A similar complaint against the sisters was earlier filed in a Bandra court for ‘hateful’ posts on social media. 

On the film front, Kangana has resumed shooting for Thalaivi. She will also be essaying an Air Force pilot in the upcoming Tejas.
