Dr Rajasekhar gets plasma therapy

According to hospital authorities, the actor was weaned off the ventilator in ICU and his condition is said to be stable

Dr Rajasekhar, who is currently undergoing treatment for Covid-19 in the intensive care unit (ICU), has received plasma therapy and CYTOSORB device therapy.

The actor tested positive for coronavirus on October 18 and was admitted to the Citi Neuro Centre in Hyderabad. According to Dr Rathna Kishore, Medical Director, Citi Neuro Centre, Rajasekhar was weaned off the ventilator in ICU and he is responding well to the treatment. His condition is said to be stable and he is being closely monitored by a clinical team. 

Rajasekhar's wife Jeevitha, who contracted moderate Covid-19, was discharged from the hospital on October 24 after testing negative.

Rajasekhar was supposed to start shooting for his new movie under Neelakanta's direction in the third week of October. The shooting was called off after he contracted Covid-19.

Meanwhile, wishes for the speedy recovery of Rajsekhar are pouring in from his colleagues and fans on social media.
