We had previously reported that Nayanthara-starrer Mookuthi Amman might be getting a digital release. Just as we predicted, the film, directed by RJ Balaji and NJ Saravanan, is now confirmed as a Disney+ Hostar release.

RJ Balaji joined a webinar hosted by Disney+ Hotstar today, where the film was announced as part of the streamer's upcoming Tamil lineup. While the new poster does not feature a release date, it is speculated that the film will be a Diwali release.

Mookuthi Amman, produced by Vels International, has Nayanthara playing a goddess. It also stars Moulee, Urvashi, and Smruthi Venkat, with cameo appearances by Indhuja and Yaashika Anand. The film's shooting was completed before the lockdown.
