Jiiva, who was last seen in Gypsy, has commenced work on his next, which we learn will be a romantic drama. The film will be directed by debutant filmmaker Santhosh Rajan, a former assistant of director Sasi.

The yet-to-be-titled project will be bankrolled by Jiiva's home banner, Super Good Films, and will be the famous production house's 91st project. The film went on floors earlier today in Chennai with a formal ceremony that was attended by the cast and crew members.

A source close to the unit says, "It will be a romantic drama and just like every film from this banner, it will be a wholesome entertainer. The team is planning to shoot a small portion in Chennai for just a few days, following which they will move to Coimbatore, where the story is based."

Kashmira Pardeshi, who made her Tamil debut with Sasi's Sivappu Manjal Pachai, has been roped in to play one of the female leads, while Pragya Nagra, known for her web series, Lockdown Kadhal, is playing the other.

The cast also includes VTV Ganesh, Sha Ra, and Malayalam actor Siddique. Music director Shaan Rahman of Jimikki Kammal fame will be handling the music for this film.
