Actor Prithviraj Sukumaran, who was shooting for his film, Jana Gana Mana, has tested positive for COVID-19.

The actor took to Twitter to share the news. He said that strict COVID-19 protocols and associated safety measures were in place during the shoot.

"As is the norm, all involved in the shoot were tested before the schedule started, and after the last day of the shoot in the courtroom set we had put up, the tests were repeated," he said.

Prithviraj's test returned with a positive result and he has gone into isolation.

The actor also said that he is currently asymptomatic, and advised all his primary and secondary contacts to isolate and get tested.

The shooting of Dilo Jose Anthony's Jana Gana Mana started on October 7.
