Director Zack Snyder, who is working on his cut of Justice League, is awaiting the release of his zombie heist film, Army of the Dead, that is all set for release on Netflix. Even before its release, Netflix had greenlit a prequel film and an anime television series to expand the franchise. Snyder recently revealed the cast of the prequel, along with the news that it will be shot in Germany and Prague this week.

Snyder is developing the anime show based around Dave Bautista's character, while the live-action prequel will be based on Matthias Schweighöfer's character, Ludwig Dieter.

Releasing a photo, Synder confirmed that the prequel will star Nathalie Emmanuel (Game of Thrones), Stuart Martin (Jamestown), Schweighöfer, Guz Khan (Four Weddings and a Funeral), and Ruby O'Fee (Polar). The rest of the cast includes Jonathan Cohen, Noémi Nakai, and Peter Simonischek.

Meanwhile, Army of The Dead is scheduled to premiere next year.
