Aditi Rao Hydari has been roped in to play the female lead in Sharwanand-starrer, Maha Samudram. A statement from the Maha Samudram makers reveals that Aditi will be seen in a performance-oriented role.

"Aditi is pleased to be part of Maha Samudram. She plays a middle-class woman and it's a strong character...something with a good scope for performance," read the statement from AK Entertainments.

Directed by Ajay Bhupathi, the Telugu-Tamil bilingual also features Siddharth in a negative role. Touted to be an intense love actioner, the film will go on floors this November.

Aditi, who was last seen in V, is currently shooting for Vijay Sethupathi's Tughlaq Darbar, as well as Hey Sinamika, co-starring Dulquer Salmaan. Meanwhile, she has also agreed to be part of an upcoming Hindi period drama starring John Abraham, Arjun Kapoor, and Rakul Preet Singh.
