John David Washington of Tenet fame is set to join Margot Robbie and Christian Bale in director David O Russell's upcoming film. 

The New Regency production will see Russell direct from his own script. Plot details of the film are currently under wraps. The makers are reportedly planning to start production in Los Angeles in January.

Russell, who is returning to the don the director's hat after the 2015 Jennifer Lawrence-starrer Joy, is also producing the project with Matthew Budman.  

The film will have cinematography by Emmanuel 'Chivo' Lubezki.
