Music director-turned-actor GV Prakash has signed a new romantic thriller with debutant director Akilan. The film, which was formally launched yesterday, will be produced by Ishani Sajmi Saleem's Navira Cinemas.

"The film will be a romantic thriller and unlike anything GV Prakash has done before. We are even planning on working on his looks so that he will be seen in a brand new avatar. We are currently finalising the rest of the cast; we will be roping in some of the biggest names in the industry," says Akilan, who has previously assisted many filmmakers and made short films. 

With MA Rajadurai handling the cinematography and Sivanatheeswaran taking care of editing, GV Prakash himself will be composing the music for this yet-to-be-titled film.
