Amitabh Bachchan has been brought in to play an important role in Prabhas' next directed by Nag Ashwin. According to reprorts, he plays a scientist in the film. The announcement was made through the official Twitter handle of the film's production house Vyjayanthi Movies. 

The film, which is tentatively referred to as Prabhas 21, stars Deepika Padukone as the female lead. It was recently announced that veteran director and actor Singeetham Srinivasa Rao has been roped in as a mentor for the film. 

About the inclusion of a doyen like Amitabh Bachchan, an elated Nag Ashwin says, “I feel lucky and blessed that Bachchan sir has selected our film among the many choices he has. It is a full-length role, which we believe will do justice to the legend that he is."

Prabhas 21 is said to be a futuristic sci-fi thriller set against the backdrop of an imaginary third world war. To be shot in Telugu and dubbed into other regional and international languages, the film is expected to go on floors this November.
