We had previously reported that Srinath Ramalingam, who directed the 2015 horror film, Unakkenna Venum Sollu, is helming an upcoming film titled Anbulla Ghilli, which will be a unique romantic drama featuring dogs in the main roles. It's now known that Soori will lend his voice for the lead labrador, which also happens to be Vijay fan.

“When I approached Soori sir for Anbulla Ghilli, he found the idea impressive and immediately accepted. We worked on dubbing for ten days, and it’s great to see the output. While penning the dialogues, we decided to write from the perspective of a dog. Their emotions and communications differ from that of humans and we were conscious of that. Soori sir shared his ideas as well,” says Srinath, adding, “I am sure family audiences, especially kids, will love the film. Especially with Soori sir on board, I believe it will be an enjoyable experience for all in theatres.”

The film stars Mythreya, Dushara, VJ Aashiq, Chandini, Mime Gopi, Nanjil Vijayan, and Mouna Raagam Krithika. Yuvan Shankar Raja and Andrea Jeremiah have teamed up for a romantic duet between the male and the female dogs.
