Vijay Sri G, who directed Charuhasan's Dhadha 87 and is currently helming Polladha Ulagil Bayangara Game, starring Aishwarya Dutta, has announced his new film titled Powder. The film, which features Vidya Pradeep in the lead, went on floors today.  

Co-starring Manobala and Vayapuri, Powder is touted to be a blend of a thriller and black comedy. Based on real-life events the film is also said to touch upon issues like drug abuse. 

The team plans to shoot the film primarily in Chennai, with certain portions to be canned in Hyderabad. The crew has assured that the shooting is being carried on following all government-recommended safety guidelines.

Powder has music by Leander Lee Morty and cinematography by RP.
