The TN Forest Department has given a clean chit to Simbu's upcoming film, Eeswaran, after the film's director Suseenthiran met officials and explained how the crew only used a rubber snake for the film.

Earlier, a video of Simbu catching a snake went viral on social media. The clip, part of his upcoming film Eeswaran, caused a stir as it is against the law to use wild animals in films without the permission of the forest department. Officials had sent a notice to the crew seeking an explanation. 

In response, the director of the film met forest official Clement Edison and reportedly proved that the crew only used rubber snake and CGI effects. 

Clement said, "Eeswaran crew showed us videos of how they used trick shots and computer effects to create the snake catching sequence. It is now clear that a real snake has not been used in the film. So, we don't have any issues with the film."

Eeswaran, which also stars Nidhhi Agerwal, Bharathiraja, and Harish Uttaman in important roles, has music by Thaman.
