Radhika Apte recollected her time working with legendary actor Soumitra Chatterjee, who passed away on Sunday in Kolkata. The two had worked together in Sujoy Ghosh’s 2015 short film, Ahalya.

“The Indian film industry has lost a legend,” said Radhika. “I am eternally grateful that I got an opportunity to work alongside Soumitra sir in Ahalya. He was a true gentleman and a very kind soul. To be able to witness his craft as an actor, makes me feel very fortunate.”

Speaking about her collaboration with such an experienced actor, Radhika added, “We shot for Ahalya back in 2015 and the experience with him was unforgettable. His contributions to the industry have been remarkable and will remain irreplaceable.”

Radhika’s international film, A Call To Spy, was released last month. She has also made her directorial debut with the short film, Sleepwalkers, starring Gulshan Devaiah and Shahana Goswami.
