CE Features

IMDb TV's espionage series Alex Rider is returning for a second season. Based on the popular book series of the same name, written by Anthony Horowitz, the series follows a teenage boy who finds himself being recruited by M16 to become a spy.

The series stars Otto Farrant in the titular role, as well as Stephen Dillane, Vicky McClure, and Andrew Buchan, among others.

Season 1 premiered on Amazon Prime in the UK, and for viewing in the US, Alex Rider will be available on both IMDb TV and Amazon Prime Video from November 13. According to TV Line, the follow-up season will jump ahead to the series' fourth book, Eagle Strike (the first season was based on the second book Point Blanc).

Alex Rider is jointly produced by Sony Pictures Television and Eleventh Hour Films. It is the first original series produced by IMDb — a free streaming service recently acquired by Amazon Studios.
