Silambarasan will join the sets of Venkat Prabhu’s Maanaadu in Pondicherry today, to resume shooting his portions. The actor, who recently returned to social media, announced this on Twitter. He further revealed that his character’s name is Adbul Khaaliq.

Directed by Venkat Prabhu, Maanaadu has Kalyani Priyadrashan playing the female lead, with SJ Suryah, Bharathiraja, and Manoj Bharathi in important roles. The film will have music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Shooting was earlier stalled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Simbu, who has been in the news for his physical transformation, recently finished dubbing for Suseenthiran’s Eeswaran. Notably, he completed work on that film in 28 days, making it one of his fastest films to be wrapped up.

Last seen in Vandha Raajavathan Varuven, Simbu also has the Tamil remake of Mufti and Hansika’s Maha in the pipeline.
