Vetri Maaran will be penning the story of Sasikumar's next. Apart from writing the film, Vetri Maaran will also be jointly producing the project with Five Star Creations' S Kathiresan.

It may be noted that Kathiresan bankrolled Vetri Maaran's debut Polladhavan and sophomore effort Aadukalam.

The director and the rest of the cast members of the upcoming Sasikumar-starrer are expected to be announced soon by the makers.

Apart from this film, Sasikumar plays the lead in the Munthanai Mudichu remake. He also has Naa Naa, Kombu Vacha Singamda, Rajavamsam, Paramaguru, and MGR Magan in the pipeline.  

Vetri Maaran, on the other hand, is busy with the pre-production work of Vaadivasal, which stars Suriya in the lead, and is awaiting the release of Netflix's Paava Kadhaigal, which has a segment directed by him. The filmmaker had also announced a film starring Soori in the lead.
