CE Features

It looks like Vadivelu is all set to take the OTT plunge. A source close to the actor says the veteran comedian will soon be making his OTT debut with a series.

While details about the cast and crew are still under wraps, we hear that a renowned director, known for his collaborations with Vadivelu, will be directing this series for a prominent OTT platform. The source also adds that the series will go on floors immediately after the COVID-19 lockdown restrictions are lifted.

Vadivelu, who was last seen in the Vijay-starrer Mersal back in 2017, will also start working on the sequel to his 2006 hit film, Imsai Arasan 23rd Pulikecei. The sequel, titled Imsai Arasan 24th Pulikecei, will be directed by Chimbu Deven, who helmed the original as well.

Apart from this, the comedian is also said to be a part of Kamal Haasan's Thalaivan Irukkiraan, which will mark their first collaboration in 22 years. The two actors, who had previously worked in Singaravelan (1992), Maharasan (1993), and Thevar Magan (1993), last teamed up for 1998's Kaathala Kaathala
