In another surprising move, Vidya Balan's upcoming movie, Shakuntala Devi-Human Computer, has taken the OTT route. Owing to the coronavirus-induced lockdown, theatres have been shut indefinitely and filmmakers are using the streaming platforms to bring their films to the audience. 

On Thursday, it was announced that Shoojit Sircar's Gulabo Sitabo, starring Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana, will be premiered digitally on Amazon Prime Video on June 12. 

Like Gulabo Sitabo, Shakuntala Devi - Human Computer, a biopic on Indian mathematician and writer Shakuntala Devi, is also set to release on Amazon Prime. The biopic was scheduled to hit the theatres on May 9. The date of the digital premiere is yet to be announced.

Directed by Anu Menon, Shakuntala Devi - Human Computer also stars Jisshu Sengupta as Shakuntala Devi’s husband, Paritosh Bannerji, and Sanya Malhotra as their daughter. Actor Amit Sadh is also a part of the film.
