The Telugu film industry is going to witness a shuffle in its film releases. While the release of Rajamouli's period action entertainer RRR looks unlikely for Sankranthi, other films are looking forward to cash in on the festival season.

According to a well-placed source, Chiranjeevi's upcoming socio-political entertainer Acharya, which was supposed to release on August 14, 2020, has been pushed for Sankranthi. "With the suspension of film shootings and other production activities, we are in for a reshuffle of films releases. One of the highly-anticipated films of the industry, Acharya, in all probability, will release during Sankranthi. They are planning to issue an official statement on the same once they resume the shooting after the lockdown," reveals a source.

Also starring Kajal Aggarwal and Ram Charan, the film is being directed by Koratala Siva. "About 30% of the shoot has been completed before the lockdown and the makers are planning to complete the film by the year end to ensure a festival release," the source adds.
