Actors Rana Daggubati and Sai Pallavi have joined hands together for an intense period political love story Virata Parvam. Directed by Venu Udugula, the film has completed about 90% of its production before the lockdown. According to a source, the film's climax is going to conclude on a surprising yet emotional note.

"Sai Pallavi will be seen as a naxalite and her character is loosely inspired by folk singer Belli Lalitha. The character conveys the most complex emotions with an air of casualness. Besides a rift with her father, her character also becomes a victim of some unforeseen circumstances, which compel her to join the naxal movement. The climax of Virata Parvam will end quite differently as opposed to commercial entertainers,” says a source from the production team.

Produced by Suresh Babu and Sudhakar Cherukuri, Virata Parvam revolves around the Maoist movement in the 1990s.
