Netflix India has released the trailer of Betaal, a period zombie horror show produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment.

The series follows a military team tasked with clearing a village to make a highway. While on the mission, they unleash an army of zombie redcoats. The trailer features grizzly violence as the squad is attacked by undead creatures. Viineet Kumar Singh plays Sirohi, the leader of the squad. We also see Aahana Kumar as his second-in-command.

The official synopsis of Betaal reads, “A remote village becomes the theatre of a breathless battle when a two-century-old Betaal, a British Indian Army officer, and his battalion of zombie redcoats are unleashed. With Indian police pitted against the undead army, hapless villagers are trapped in a horrific, edge-of-your-seat conflict.”

Created by Patrick Graham, Betaal also stars Suchitra Pillai, Jitendra Joshi, Manjiri Pupala and Syna Anand. The Indian original series is set to premiere on May 24.
