Actor-comedian Ricky Gervais has inked an overall deal with Netflix as the streaming service renewed his After Life series for a third season. As part of the deal, Gervais will also be creating additional stand-up comedy specials for Netflix. 

The second season of the show, which Gervais created, writes, directs and stars in, premiered on Netflix on April 24.

After Life centres around Tony (Gervais), a middle-aged journalist whose deals with life after the death of his wife due to cancer. Gervais took to Twitter and shared the news about the renewal.
