SS Rajamouli's upcoming film RRR, which was already postponed from its original July 30 date due to multiple delays in production, will likely not be out on January 8, 2021, either. According to a well-placed source, the release date of the period action entertainer, featuring Jr NTR and Ram Charan, has been pushed to July 30, 2021, due to coronavirus crisis.

"Considering the unprecedented pandemic situation, resumption of film shootings looks unlikely until August/September. As the makers have to complete 25 per cent of the remaining shoot with Alia Bhat, who plays a crucial role, the production is going to take longer than expected. Adding to that, the CGI and other post-production work will require at least six months. Keeping all these aspects in mind, the team has finalised July 30, 2021, as the new release date of the film," says the source.
