After much speculation, it has now come to light that Raashi Khanna will star opposite Suriya in director Hari's Aruvaa

Aruvaa marks the sixth film for Hari with Suriya after Vel, Aaru and the three Singam films. This will also be the first collaboration of both Suriya and Hari with composer Imman. The film was meant to go on floors in April and be completed in a single schedule to ensure a Diwali release. However, the coronavirus pandemic halted the filming.

Raashi, who was recently seen in Sanga Thamizhan, is also part of Sundar C's Aranmanai 3. She also revealed on social media that discussions for a couple of Telugu projects were underway.

Meanwhile, Suriya is currently awaiting the release of Sudha Kongara’s Soorarai Pottru. The Kaappaan actor also has a film with Vetri Maaran, which has been titled Vaadi Vaasal,

Aruvaa will be bankrolled by KE Gnanavel Raja under his Studio Green banner
