FEFSI requests government to allow production of films and TV soaps

CE Features

Movies and TV serials production have been on hold for almost 50 days, which has rendered several FEFSI members jobless. Now, as Tamil Nadu government has allowed many businesses and industries to operate with certain regulations, FEFSI has requested Tamil Nadu CM Edappadi Palanisamy to grant permission for the post-production work of films and TV serials as well.

In a touching letter to the CM, he said that the association has somehow helped the workers sail through the past fifty days of lockdown with the help of donations and funds, but it can't continue to do so. Selvamani wrote that the workers might die of hunger, if the status quo doesn't change.

He, therefore requested the government to allow post-production work (such as recording, re-recording, and dubbing for films and serials) to happen, which would provide work for almost 40 percent of FEFSI members.

Selvamani also assured that all such work will be carried out by adhering to the safety precautions and regulations laid down by center and state governments.
