In an Insta Live session titled Thalaivan Irukindraan, Kamal Haasan today interacted with Vijay Sethupathi who hosted the show along with VJ Abhishek Raaja. During the interaction, the actor-turned-politician spoke about a range of topics including acting skills, politics, personal life, and critical decisions.

Kamal, who began the video with a quip, “Naan oru kadhai sollatuma” - the famous Vijay Sethupathi line from Vikram Vedha - went on to compliment Sethupathi saying that he likes the 96 actor's zeal to constantly experiment and resist the temptation to run behind the commercial market. "I know the implications in taking such a path. And it's impressive. You run behind scripts. Success will come and go, but your effort to constantly innovate with your choice of films will not go in vain," he said.

Sharing an interesting anecdote about MGR asking him not to follow the same commercial footsteps, Kamal stressed that actors like Dilip Kumar MGR, Sivaji have always been building their own platforms to push the next generation further. “Now, I would like to push you through to the next level,” he said, to a visibly-overwhelmed Vijay Sethupathi.
