Coronavirus outbreak: Katrina Kaif pledges to donate to PM-CARES and Chief Minister’s Relief Fund

Katrina Kaif has pledged to donate to the Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situation (PM CARES) fund and the Maharashtra Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. Several celebrities — including Akshay Kumar, Varun Dhawan, and Kartik Aaryan — have contributed to the relief efforts against the coronavirus crisis in India. 

“I pledge to donate to the PM CARES fund and the Chief Minister's Relief Fund Maharashtra. Heartbreaking to see the hardship and suffering this pandemic has unleashed in the world,” Katrina shared in a post. The actor has also been sharing Instagram videos reminding fans to practise social distancing. 

On the work front, Katrina’s new film Sooryavanshi, which was set for release on March 24, has been postponed. She is also expected to team up with director Ali Abbas Zafar for a female superhero film.
