Chiranjeevi donates Rs 1 crore relief for film industry workers

Chiranjeevi has donated Rs 1 crore to help the film industry workers, who have been affected by the shutdown of theatres and cancellation of film shootings because of coronavirus outbreak.

The actor who made his Twitter debut yesterday shared the news via a tweet. He wrote,

The Covid-19 pandemic has forced the entertainment industry across the country to suspend the operations. Last Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has ordered a 21-day lockdown of the country to contain the coronavirus pandemic.

Chiranjeevi's upcoming film Acharya is one of the few films that have temporarily halted the production keeping in mind the safety of its cast and crew. And with the Megastar lending a helping hand to the film industry workers, other actors are also expected to follow him in this hour of crisis.
