Kamal, Dhanush, Shankar donate for FEFSI workers

While Dhanush donated Rs 15 lakh, Kamal Haasan and Shankar donated Rs 10 lakh each

Following Film Employees Federation of South India's (FEFSI) request to help support film industry workers who have lost their jobs amid the standstill due to the coronavirus outbreak, several celebrities donated for the cause. The latest to join the list include Kamal Haasan, Dhanush and director Shankar. While Dhanush donated Rs 15 lakh, Kamal Haasan and Shankar donated Rs 10 lakh each. 

Director Karthik Subbaraj also donated Rs 1 lakh. Earlier, Rajinikanth, Sivakumar, Suriya, Karthi, Sivakarthikeyan, Vijay Sethupathi, Harish Kalyan, director Hari, producer Kalaippuli S Thanu, producer TG Thyagarajan, Radharavi and Manobala also contributed money to the organization. Actors Parthiban and Prakash Raj have provided rice bags weighing 25 kg each to the families of the workers.

The film fraternity, which has incurred humongous financial loss amid the current standstill, has been coming together at this tough time to keep everyone, especially daily wagers in the industry, afloat.
