Following Suriya and Karthi's donation to Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI) workers, who have lost their income owing to the coronavirus outbreak, actors Rajinikanth, Vijay Sethupathi and Sivakarthikeyan have donated money to the organisation.

While the former has contributed Rs 50 Lakh to the wellbeing of the workers, the latter two have given Rs 10 Lakh each.

The actors began pouring in their donations after FEFSI president RK Selvamani requested the film fraternity to provide financial support to the daily wages of the federation, whose livelihood has been left at stake because of the stalling of the shoots.

Meanwhile, actors Parthiban and Prakash Raj have provided rice bags weighing 25 kg each to the families of the workers.

The shootings of all the films, across the industries, has been stopped because of the Coronavirus outbreak and this has led to a humongous financial loss to the everyone associated with cinema. Notably, the theatres will also remain shut down until the severity of the virus reduces.
