Mahesh Babu will start shooting for his new film, SSMB 27, an action family entertainer, this summer. "The film will be launched on May 31 coinciding with actor Krishna's birthday and will begin the principal photography in June. Mahesh will be sporting a new avatar and will begin the preparation once they lock the final draft of the script," informs a source. 

Mythri Movie Makers, who earlier made Srimanthudu with Mahesh are producing this film in association with GMB Entertainments and Koratala Siva's home production. "The expectations of the film are high and the makers are leaving no stone unturned to make it a memorable project in their combination. They are planning to release SSMB 27 on April 28, the same day Pokiri hit the screens about 14 years ago, in 2006," the source adds. 

The female lead and other cast and crew of the film are yet to be finalised.
