We had previously reported that the Tamil remake rights of the hit Malayalam film Ayyappanum Koshiyum has been bagged by Aadukalam and Jigarthanda producer, Kathiresan. The latest update is that actors Sasikumar and Sarath Kumar might be reprising the roles played by Prithviraj Sukumaran and Biju Menon, respectively.

Though the two actors have not previously collaborated for a project, interestingly, Sarath played a cameo in the 2014 Samuthirakani directorial Nimirndhu Nil, which had a voiceover by Sasikumar.

Directed by Sachy, Ayyappanum Koshiyum is the story of two strangers who get involved in an intense psychological game. Ayyappanum Koshiyum, which marked Sachy's second directorial with Prithviraj after Anarkali, turned out to be one of the most successful Malayalam films released this year.

Meanwhile, Sasikumar will next be seen in Kombu Vacha Singamda followed by films such as Rajavamsam and MGR Magan, and Sarath Kumar, who was recently seen in Vaanam Kottatum, bankrolled by Mani Ratnam is said to be a part of the latter's upcoming directorial, Ponniyin Selvan.
