Coronavirus outbreak: Nani's V - The Movie release postponed to April

Sources say V - The Movie may release either on April 16 or April 24

Nani-starrer V - The Movie was supposed to be released on March 25 coinciding with Ugadi. However, the makers of the film have announced that the release has been postponed to April due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. According to a source, V - The Movie might get a release either on April 16 or April 24.

An official statement from the production house, Sri Venkateswara Creations, states that the release of V -The Movie has been postponed keeping in mind the health and safety of the audience. "Due to the prevailing extraordinary conditions which are beyond our control, V -The Movie stands postponed," wrote the production house.

Apart from V - The Movie, we hear, the makers of several other films including Rana Daggubati-starrer Aranya, Panja Vaisshnav Tej's Uppena, and Anushka Shetty's Nishabdham are also contemplating pushing the release dates of their films.

There are also reports that several filmmakers have cancelled their shootings to contain the spread of the pandemic. The film industry is constantly in touch with the government authorities as well to analyse the impact of theatres continuing their operations.
