Recently, Baaghi 3 director Ahmed Khan had commented about the box-office gains of Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. Speaking about films led by female actors, Ahmed said Kangana had gone overboard with Manikarnika, causing losses to the film’s producers and compelling future projects like Dhaakad to be dropped.

Ahmed’s comment was slammed by Kangana's sister Rangoli Chandel on Twitter. Additionally, Razneesh Ghai, the director of Dhaakad, had called the statements ‘delusional’ and said he’s thinking of sending a legal notice.

Now Ahmed, in a fresh interview to a publication, has apologised for his remarks. He has also said he would like to make a film with Kangana.

“Kangana is the female Baaghi, the hero of Bollywood, and the only girl who can pull off an action film,” the filmmaker is quoted as saying. “I really liked the Dhaakad teaser and got gooseflesh while watching it. She is a brilliant and powerful actor. If she approves my script, I will definitely work with her.”
